2008 July > Sounds like Justice Sounds Like Justice Benefit Concert for AIDWYC
Worse case senario: you find yourself wrongly convicted of some crime. Have no fear there's someone out there looking out for you. Quite a few wonderful people actually. The Association In Defence of the Wrongly Convicted (AIDWYC) is there to help. These fine folks held a fund raiser on May 8th at the Courthouse Nightclub, that included a VIP Reception, Silent Auction and a live Benefit Concert, to give the rest of us a chance to step up and do the right thing. Once again it's never too late to pitch in and help right some wrongs. Give them a call. The world we live in is up to us.
AIDWYC is a volunteer, non-profit organization focusing on murder convictions and has two broad objectives: first, eradicating the conditions that can cause miscarriages of justice; and second, participating in the review and, where warranted, correction of wrongful convictions. Founded in 1993, it is a grassroots organization that formed to support Guy Paul Morin immediately following his wrongful conviction in 1992. www.aidwyc.org
