2008 July > The Faces and Places of Kensington The students and staff of Kensington Community School have worked hard on a project that traces the history of the vibrant Kensington neighbourhood. The students have spent months visiting, interviewing and photographing the various businesses and community centres around the neighbourhood in order to capture the spirit and roots of the people and places around them. Using this imagery, they created a wide variety of multi-media art pieces, including paintings, photographs, movies and other presentations. On June 5th, the school held a showcase event to present the results of this project to the community.
