2008 July > The Trane Studio

If you like your jazz intimate, The Trane is the place for you. From their Piano Series and ongoing 5th year anniversary celebrations to their great food and big welcoming smiles it is most definitly one of the friendliest places in town. Throughout the first week of June, the Trane, on Bathurst St., hosted a series of pianists who showcased their skills to an appreciative crowd. On June 4, Thompson Egbo Egbo and Dave Restivo took the stage, and their contrasting styles of jazz piano both excited and impressed. Later in the month, The Ritual Trio, featuring Kahil El'Zabar with Ari Brown, played to a packed house on June 14.
