2008 July > Kingly Website Launch Party Talk about community, Patrick and Claudia, husband and wife and the proprietors of Kingly, store and website, have been sharing their love of sharing for over 16 years. Claudia started out, and still makes to this day, her own hand designed, cut and sewn children's fashions. With hand woven bags, fun toys and gifts, imported from all over the world, the store was fun to explore. Adding a second, bigger location, down the road, will allow 'Dia' to further share her love of art and community. There will be art shows, there are great children's toys, fashionably affordable lady's selections and a simple 'down-home' welcome that you may think no longer exists in the big city. It does, though, and now thanks to their website over 116 countries can join in the fun. 1078 Queen St. West or Kingly.Biz...you can see for yourself. And bring the kids, their toy selection is beyond the usual 'mono-culture' stuff you see elsewhere. From the way I saw the children enjoying themselves, i'd say their 'play-things' are unique and engaging. I was tempted to take some home to play with myself. Of course, we just had to pick up a fashionable, and very affordable, hand-embrodiered bag from B.C. ourselves.
