Counterpoint Community Orchestra concluded its highly successful 24th Season with a concert on May 31 entitled “Our Own Stars Shine”. The concerted featured its own members as soloists and a guest organist. The programme included music by Stamitz, Handel, Hovhaness and Strauss. The feature performance was the spectacular Camile Saint-Saëns, Symphony No. 3 in c minor, the famous “Organ Symphony” with Paul Jessen, guest organist. Thanks to Conductor, since 1998, and Music Dirctor Terry Kowalczuk. And boy does he raise some beautiful orchids!
