Michael Harker with his kids Philip and Eleanor

MIKE2010

Local businessman, Michael Harker, celebrated his 40th birthday by raising $40,000 for the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario. The birthday party featured THREE days of family fun, including a Michael Jackson show, autograph sessions by Hannah Montana, and a grand prize Honda CBR125R motorcycle donated by Honda Canada. Last year, Michael Harker approached the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario with his concept of a birthday “convention” to raise funds for a good cause. He then joined forces with many other corporate partners and the world’s first birthday convention was born! MIKE2010, took place over the weekend of the January 22nd – 24th at the Hyatt Regency Toronto (370 King St. West), and entertained approximately 200 guests. We stopped in during the Kids party and had a blast chatting it up with the guests and SNAP’ing away. Thanks go out to Mike and all the sponsors for hosting the innovative and inspirational event that helped raise so much for the worthy cause!
