2010 ACTRA Toronto Awards
The 8th Annual ACTRA Awards in Toronto was held at the fabulous Carlu on Friday February 19th. Hosted by Geri Hall of This Hour has 22 Minutes and The Jane Show, the evening was highlighted when Peter Keleghan presented Colin Mochrie (of Whose Line is it Anyway?, Getting Along Famously and This Hour has 22 Minutes) with the ACTRA Toronto’s 2010 Award of Excellence. The award recognizes outstanding performances by Toronto members and also celebrates the accomplishments and excellence of these individuals within the industry.
The awards ceremony saw K.C Collins win the ACTRA Award for Outstanding Performance – Male for the mini-series Guns and Kathleen Munroe the ACTRA Award for Outstanding Performance – Female for the series Flashpoint. Julie Lemieux won the ACTRA Award for Outstanding Performance – Voice, for the animated TV series Spliced.
ACTRA Toronto is the largest organization within ACTRA, representing more than 15,000 of Canada’s 21,000 professional performers working in the English-language recorded media in Canada.
